The Danube Island begins at the inlet of the New Danube in Langenzersdorf, Lower Austria, crosses Vienna via the districts Floridsdorf and Donaustadt and ends with the confluence of the New Danube in the main stream after the oil port Lobau.

While not a sandy beach, this is an artificial island in the middle of river Danube. It’s located the south-east Donauinsel in Vienna is right on the Danube and is a designated FKK nudism area. There is ample space for undisturbed nudity.

Floor markings show where the nude bathing area begins each time. On the southern and northern tip, directly on the New Danube, you can bathe naked in the sprawling, large-scale areas on a total of eight kilometers in length. In addition to extensive lawns, shady spots and beaches, visitors can also use numerous food stalls and sanitary facilities here.

Of the four nude beach listings below, Gänsehäufelbad is the only one that requires an entrance fee.
